Sarah A. Coombs, LMHC, LPC, NCC (she/her/hers)
I'm a queer identified practitioner licensed in the state of Washington to provide individual psychotherapy and counseling sessions to individuals ages 18 and older. I'm also a WA State Approved Supervisor for associate level counselors and social workers seeking independent licensure. I have a particular passion and expertise in grief/bereavement/loss, anxiety disorders, LGBTQIA2S+, and transgender/gender dysphoria. I especially enjoy working with the young adult/college student phase of life, performing artists/creatives and adults who find themselves facing life altering decisions.
Often people can benefit from having support outside of the home, work and/or school environment in which they can safely express themselves and receive additional guidance. I am honored to provide a warm, friendly and positive atmosphere for my clients as they journey through these stressful and exceptionally emotional times of transition.
Areas that bring people into my practice include:
My philosophy and approach to psychotherapy emphasizes the importance of recognizing and honoring the interconnections of the mind, body and spirit. I view my role as assisting others to identify and challenge the metaphorical roadblocks in their lives in order to forge a new path towards embracing their potential for joy and fulfillment.
I will work with you to develop your strengths into powerful tools and together we will uncover what may be holding you back from moving forward. My ideal client is someone who has reached a place in their life's journey where they no longer wish to navigate their way alone and are brave enough to ask for help.
Please feel free to contact me if you have questions or would like to schedule an appointment.
